Funding is available for specific Spring 2025 NPQs.
Potentia Teaching School Hub is delighted to be working with Teach First as our National Professional Qualification (NPQ) Lead Provider for cohorts commencing from the Autumn of 2024.
The DfE have confirmed that from the 2024-25 academic year, NPQ cohorts will start in October and April, rather than in October and February, with the final February cohort being February 2024 and the first April cohort being April 2025.
*the NPQLBC and NPQEYL programmes are also open to non-teaching staff

Scholarship Funding for NPQs from Spring 2025
You may know that funding allocations from the DfE for NPQs have changed.
Funding from Spring 2025 will continue to support those teachers and leaders who work in the most challenging schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities.
NPQ funding will continue to be a partially funded national model for the Spring 2025 cohort.
As outlined in the DfE's funding guidance report;
- All state schools will be eligible for fully-funded places on the NPQH, NPQSENCO, NPQLPM and EHCO only
- For all other NPQs, schools with the highest 50% of pupil premium pupils will be eligible for fully funded places, as well as early years and 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantages.
If you are a state school that wishes to access a different NPQ programme to those above and are not a school with the highest 50% of pupils, you will be required to pay for this NPQ.
You can find out more about which NPQ's are funded from Spring 2025, by reading the funding guidance report from the DfE below.
If you would like to know if your school or setting is entitled to funding, you can access this information directly from the link below also.

Small Schools NPQs
Are you a school with less than 150 pupils on roll? Then the NPQ small may be for you. The NPQ small has the same standing as the Standard NPQs but has been designed with small schools in mind.
